Maiden Art & Interiors

Maiden Art & Interiors was opened in December 2018 in the Old Baptist Chapel (on the bridge) by Yvonne Maiden.
From the outside the chapel looks tiny but when you step inside it opens up into a fabulous open space filled with inspiring and interesting art and gifts.

Alongside stunning artwork, vintage postcards and hand painted glassware are sea-inspired plant based Llwyngwril candles, local beeswax, honey skincare and up-cycled pieces of furniture. 95% of the products are British made, Fair Trade or locally sourced.
Yvonne makes driftwood art and handmade cards from items found on the beach and the paper carrier bags and canvas bags are printed by hand in the shop. Yvonne is also a proud supplier of Bee bombs, a natural product to encourage bees back into our garden and countryside.

If you are looking for a birthday gift or funny greetings card or something unusual to take home from your holiday, or a piece for your home, you will find it at Maiden Art & Interiors.

Opening times Wed to Sat 10:30am to 4pm - may vary in summer.

Sibrydion Cymuned, our Bi-monthly Community magazine

Sibrydion Cymuned is a local magazine covering a growing area in South Snowdonia. We aim to provide an essentially local focus and include content with integrity. The magazine is delivered free, to every house by volunteers in villages: (Penmaenpool, Arthog, Fairbourne, Friog, Llwyngwril, Rhoslefain, Llanegryn, Llanelltyd and Bontddu). It is also distributed around the surrounding towns and other villages, but not delivered to each house (Dolgellau, Brithdir, Dinas Mawddwy, Barmouth, Talybont, Dyffryn Ardudwy, Llanbedr, Llanfair, Harlech, Bala, Corris, Machynlleth, Talyllyn, Bryn Crug, Tywyn, Aberdyfi). The magazine is funded purely by the advertisements, which our readers value as they are mainly local tradesmen and businesses. The magazine is read thoroughly and kept as a source of reference, whereas the local newspaper is skimmed through and discarded.
