Llwyngwril Fete 2018

Brilliant day and brilliant weather  – here are a few photos of the Hobby Horse Gymkhana

It really was a brilliant day and the sun shone so much that I had to go and have a lie down afterwards (could possibly have been the cider but I blame the sunshine).  Funniest hobby horse gymkhana ever was seen with the contestants fighting hard through the obstacles to get the fastest time.

Nearly summer holidays

Not long now until the schools break up and the holiday season is in full swing, let’s hope the weather holds out for a few more weeks for everyone.  There are loads of events on in the area during the summer break including the village Gardening club show and the Summer Fete, details on the events calendar on the front page of the website here.

It’s nearly yarn-bombing time!

Technically, it’s ALWAYS yarn-bombing time in the village but we’ll let that pass. Over the next few weeks this year’s yarn creations will start to appear around the village – what will be in store this year?  A lot of very talented people have been working throughout the winter months to come up with yet more dazzling and quirky displays for the village.
